Hello all...its been a while! The past week and a half has been filled with day trips with Brenda and afternoons in the city center. We just can't rave enough about the Luas (light rail) and how easy, convenient it has made getting in and out of the city. The system is essentially a big "X"...with the Red Line running from East to West and the Green Line running from North to South. On days when we want to go into the city, we just make the 10 minute walk down to the station, swipe our LeapCards, and hop onboard. Even Henry the cat could do it.
Below are some pictures from the past few days, including some snapshots from our trip to the Guinness Storehouse...which, believe it or not, is the most popular visitor attraction in Ireland. Probably because it includes a "free" pint. Sarah enjoyed the trip and managed to sip down her entire pint of Guinness. For the second time during this trip I attempted to "enjoy" the taste of the Guinness...I really want to understand what all the fuss is about. Two sips in though, and I was done. The stuff tastes like a mixture of soy sauce and asphalt. I got a Sprite.
Lastly, time for another edition of Hugs & Slugs:
*A hug to Brenda and her delicious cooking
*A slug surprise rain showers
*A hug to the Luas
*A slug to outrageous admission fees
*A hug to Harry Potter movie marathons
*A slug to Sarah's walking pace (like a turtle going through a pool of cold molasses)
*A hug to Cindy...just because
*A slug to my walking pace (like a turkey running away from Thanksgiving) See the problem here?
Well, sorry I couldn't post more pictures...the internet here is hit or miss and pictures take quite a while to upload. But, enjoy!
